After reshaping my own story of codependency over the past decade—and walking alongside countless women and couples with similar patterns.

 I Noticed Something ...

After God began reshaping my own story of codependency more than a decade ago—and after walking alongside countless women and couples facing similar struggles—I began to notice something.

The women experiencing the deepest freedom weren't necessarily the women whose husbands had changed the most.

They were the women who had become deeply rooted in who they were in Christ.

They had learned to stop tying their worth, peace, identity, and sense of security to another person's actions or approval. Instead, they were learning to live from the freedom Jesus had already purchased for them.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36

And that freedom began changing everything.

As their identity became rooted in Christ, they began recognizing and breaking the destructive patterns they had lived from for years—patterns I now call a Borrowed Identity.

They began to understand that their lives belonged to God. That they were fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). That they didn't have to spend their lives desperately trying to earn love, prove their worth, control outcomes, rescue others, disappear, perform, or fight to feel safe.

Jesus didn't die so we could remain bound to the very patterns He came to set us free from.

Yet I meet so many Christian women who desperately want healing. They've prayed. They've read the books. They've listened to sermons and podcasts. They've tried harder, forgiven again, communicated differently, and begged God to change their marriage.

And still, they feel stuck.

Not because God has forgotten them.

But because sometimes we are asking God to change what is happening around us, while He is inviting us to see what He wants to heal and transform within us.

Sometimes we can't walk out of a pattern we don't yet have eyes to see.

That was true for me, too.

And this is where my story begins...

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 26 years. Together, we’ve raised four children, welcomed our first grandchild, and built a life that also includes a horse, a donkey, two dogs, and—yes—a partridge in a pear tree. We love them all. ❤️

But our story hasn’t always looked like the life we have today.

For years, our marriage was tangled in Borrowed Identities, codependency, addiction, and destructive patterns. We loved Jesus and wore His name, yet I wasn’t experiencing the freedom and transforming power He promised.

I tried harder. Prayed harder. Learned more. Tried to fix myself, others, and our marriage—until eventually, I came to the end of myself.

Lost. Hopeless. Alone. Broken.

And that’s where Jesus met me.

Or perhaps, where I finally realized He had been there all along.

What followed wasn’t an overnight transformation. It was surrender—one lie, one pattern, one step at a time. God began teaching me to stop living from who I had learned to be and start living from who He said I already was.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” — Galatians 5:1

And as I changed, our marriage began changing too. The old cycles started losing their power because I wasn’t showing up the same way anymore. And as we both began breaking free from the patterns that had held us captive, we experienced a kind of freedom I honestly never thought was possible.

Today, after 26 years of marriage, I can genuinely say I am married to my best friend.

Not because our story became perfect—but because we became freer people inside of it.

The enemy’s lies about who we were no longer got to have the final word.

Jesus did.

And somewhere along that journey, I sensed a calling I couldn’t ignore:

Take what I have taught you. Take the freedom I have walked you into. And help other women discover who they are in Me and the freedom I purchased for them.

And that is how The Set Free Woman was born.

COULD THIS BE YOUR INVITATION TO FREEDOM?

Maybe you see pieces of your own story in mine.

NOW, WHAT ABOUT YOUR STORY?

Maybe you’ve spent years hoping something would change.

Praying. Trying. Holding on. Wondering if the peace, confidence, connection, and freedom you long for are actually possible.

I want you to know—there is still so much hope for your story.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.

Your husband doesn’t have to be ready for your own healing to take place.

And you don’t need to know exactly how you’re going to get from where you are today to where you desperately want to be.

You just have to be willing to take the next step God is placing in front of you.

That’s why I created this free training.

It’s an invitation to stop spending all of your energy trying to change what you cannot control and begin discovering what God wants to heal, restore, and awaken within you.

Maybe this is the beginning of your own journey toward becoming The Set Free Woman.

Come see what freedom could look like for you.
