Freedom is rarely found on the familiar path. Healing requires the courage to take the narrow one.

There is a reason healing can feel so hard.

The familiar path is wide.

It's easy to keep doing what you've always done. To blame. Fix. Control. Please. Perform. Withdraw. Protect. Avoid. Carry what isn't yours. Stay offended. Keep waiting for someone else to change.

Not because you're broken—but because these are the paths your mind, body, and relationships have traveled again and again. They are familiar. And familiar can feel safe, even when it is keeping you stuck.

But Jesus speaks of another way.

The NARROW PATH.

The narrow path will as many things of you:

To turn inward when everything in you wants to look outward.
To ask “What is mine?” instead of obsessing over what someone else needs to change.
To exchange lies for truth.
To surrender control.
To tolerate discomfort.
To tear down defenses that once protected you but now prevent intimacy.
To renew your mind.
To allow God into the places you've spent years trying to manage yourself.

And ultimately, to stop building your life around the identity you learned to borrow and begin living from the identity God already gave you.

This isn't behavior modification.

This is transformation.

And transformation rarely happens all at once. It happens one truth, one choice, one surrender, one courageous step at a time.
